Egyptian Institute of Accountants and Auditors
Egyptian Institute of Accountants & Auditors (EIAA)
The Egyptian Institute of Accountants & Auditors (EIAA) is a premier professional institution committed to advancing the fields of accounting and auditing in Egypt. Established under a Presidential Decree in November 1983, EIAA was the result of extensive negotiations between Egypt and the Development Support and Institutional Development (DSAID) to create a center of excellence for training, research, and the development of financial standards.
Our foundation was further strengthened through a USAID grant (No. 263-0159-6116), which became effective in September 1986. The first installment of this grant, made available in January 1987, enabled the full establishment of EIAA as a professional institute dedicated to training accountants, formulating standards, and strengthening the financial sector.
Over the years, EIAA has provided thousands of training hours in accounting and auditing-related subjects and has played a significant role in developing Egypt's Accounting & Auditing standards. Additionally, EIAA is actively represented in the Financial Regulatory Authority’s Committee on Accounting Standards and the Supreme Council for Accounting & Auditing Standards, contributing to the continuous enhancement of financial regulations and best practices.
Expanding Our Role
As part of our commitment to developing the accounting profession, we are currently expanding our focus on Internal Audit and Management Accounting. We recognize the growing importance of these fields in corporate governance, risk management, and financial strategy.
Commitment to Excellence
At EIAA, we believe that trustworthy financial reporting, competent auditing, and ethical accounting practices are fundamental to economic growth and investment confidence. Through our extensive training programs, regulatory contributions, and international collaborations, we continue to shape the future of Egypt’s financial sector.
